The Importance of Water

Updated: Aug 21

Every year,at the beginning of June, we celebrate World Oceans Day.

Earth's oceans cover over 70% of the it's surface. The Oceans are where life began over 3.5 billion years ago. They are largely unexplored and there is still a lot we do not know.

The Water Element

There are Yin and Yang water elements. Oceans are considered Yang Water element in Chinese Metaphysics. Yin water is represented by rain, mist and clouds. Our bodies are made of about 70% water, just like the Ocean on the planet.

Water represents Wisdom

Wisdom and intelligence go hand in hand. A person with strong water in their charts are quick learners, fast thinkers, creative and always on the go. Are you a water person?

This is determined by the top symbol on your day pillar, the third from the right, in your Natal Chart. This is called the “Self” element. It defines who you are, your way of being.

Water has a big capacity for Wealth

Because the water element is abundant, transforming and always moving, it has a capacity for wealth. Water is everywhere! Some of the world’s most successful people have water in their chart. Some examples, are: Jacqui Chan, Elvis Costello, Ellen Degeneres, Warren Buffet, Robin Williams, Bill Gates to name a few…

Even though this element is shapeless, through constant action it can shape the toughest rocks, cut the hardest material: metal and be gentle enough to nourish life.
